Born in Sydney, Australia, violinist Phoebe Gardner moved to New York City at age 15 after attending her first summer at the Perlman Music Program Summer Music School, where she studied with Itzhak Perlman, Catherine Cho and Li Lin. Phoebe performed as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician throughout the US, UK, Europe, Israel and Australia. She was an Akademist at the prestigious Karajan-Akademie der Berliner Philharmoniker, where she was the recipient of the Deconet violin (ex Castelberg), generously on loan from the Martha von Castelberg Stiftung. Since the 2025/26 season, Phoebe has played on a Zeitvertrag in the second violin section of Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden.
